Family Vacay: day 1

We came to Tappahanock, VA yesterday to spend a nice relaxing long weekend at my in-laws beautiful home. Today, we took a fairy across the Chesapeake Bay to Tangier Island. It was the kids first time on a boat and they both loved it! 

First they shared breakfast.

Keira apparently does not like cherries. There was also a little doggie play time with Gabe-Dog.

Then it was time to get on the boat!

Then we finally made it to the island. What a cool and strange place. It is only 5 miles long and 1.5 miles wide and like stepping way back in time. 

There are many more to go through, but these pretty much sum up this fun day! Looking forward to what the rest of the weekend brings!
